Theresa Thibault obituary

Theresa Mary (Massero) Thibault, age 92, of Ipswich and formerly of Lynn, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at the Sea View Retreat in Rowley. 

She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Herbert J. Thibault, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. He predeceased her in 2012. 

Born in Salem in 1928, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Albina (Gauthier) Massero. 

She was raised in Salem and Peabody, and she lived the greater part of her life in Lynn before moving to Ipswich in 2009.

Theresa was the chief breakfast and lunch aide at Drewicz Elementary School from 1985 until her retirement. 

She loved her stuffed animals, lobster rolls, and playing bingo. She was a caring and comforting woman and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her loving daughters, Phyllis A. Fleming of Salem, Carol A. Pigeon and her husband, Donald, of Rhode Island, and Frances A. Kuzmitski and her husband, Richard, of Ipswich; her beloved grandchildren: Danielle, Kevin, Michael, Adam, Tracey, Daniel, Todd, and Keith; her cherished great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Angelina, Andrew, Logan, Mason, Corbin, Kole, Tadd, Ruby, Hawkins, Harris, Isabelle, Kaylani, and Kevin Jr.; her adoring great-great-grandchildren; Andrew, Alvi,a and James; and her many nieces and nephews. 

She was the sister of the late Alice White, Louise Glynn, and Albert, Francis, George (“Ted”), and Richard Massero.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021, in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rte. 129), Lynn. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and are required to adhere to the guidelines of the CDC, the commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the local board of health, which allows up to 40 family and friends in the funeral home at a time, all required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. 

Visiting hours will be on Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
